Ultra Sound Scheduled

Just talked to my clinic and our first ultra sound is this week. Wow, that is super early!!! I go in on Thursday and I will only be 5w 1d, and I am worried we won't see anything. The nurse said it is the earliest that she does the ultra sounds but she knows I have been anxious and because my hcg is so high I am likely to see something. Obviously not a heart beat which will be the ultimate (please god let that happen) but maybe the sac. I am scared sh**less but I guess everyone is for their first ultra sound. It will make everything real because up until now I can't believe that this could be happening. One more time I am going to ask you to please pray for us!

  3. So exited for you! Saying prayers for a great ultrasound!

I saw heartbeats with my son and daughter at 6 wks 2 days but they reminded me I may not have so early.

Yes, from what I understand you should be able to see at least a sac once it hits 1500.

  14. wow that is exciting! The heartbeats don't start until closer to 5w6d so just expect to see a sac(s) on this ultrasound...didn't want you to be disappointed :).

  15. Yay!!! We had our first u/s at 5w5d and saw two sacs, one with a heartbeat (it was measuring a day ahead), but then a week later- both heartbeats were present and accounted for (and absolutely beautiful). SO like previous poster, don't get disappointed with no heartbeat- it's just biology, they don't form that early. But I can't WAIT to see how many sacs are in there. :) :) :)

  16. I had an ultrasound at 5w1d for this pregnancy where they saw one intrauterine sac with yolk sac but no heartbeat. My HCG was 2,988 that day.

We saw the heartbeat at the next ultrasound at 6w3d.

So, definitely don't be disappointed if they can't see a heartbeat yet.

Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you!!!
