Why don't I look pregnant?

So I am officially 10 weeks pregnant on Wednesday and I don't even have the slightest baby bump. It worries me because if I am carrying twins you would think I would see something. I haven't had an ultrasound in 3 weeks so I am a bit worried. I guess that is just the way it is going to be all along. I will not be able to "relax" until I am holding the babies. I actually feel like I have lost some weight, if that is possible. I have been having a hard time eating (lots of vomiting) and although I feel hungry I can only seem to eat ittle amounts at a time. I have been making sure that I get some healthy food every day (mostly fruits and veggies), even though it is not a huge amount.
Just wondering if any of you have experienced the same thing. When did you ladies start showing?

  1. Sorry about the morning sickness...I went through that and it was terrible. My Dr. put me on Zofran for it and it really helped me be able to keep some food down. Maybe they could prescribe you some nausea meds?
I didn't feel like I started "showing" until I was closer to 15-16 weeks, but everyone is different and I'm not having twins! Lol I think I started showing late because of how sick I was too, my morning sickness didn't go away until I was 6 months along...Hopefully that doesn't happen to you!
Sorry for the long post, but I completely understand why you are worried since you haven't had an ultrasound in awhile...I was like that too! We've been through a lot to get our babies here and we just want to make sure they are growing like they are supposed to! We are good mommies already! Feel better dear!

  2. Don't worry at all. I have been having all the same 'symptoms'. I am not showing yet (besides getting a little chubby in the midsection) and I am 12 weeks with twins.
I am not able to eat much, no room! And I have lost a pound or two even though I am not throwing up!
It's normal I guess. My OB hasn't shown any concern.
    Hope that helps!

  3. Everyone is different! Do you have a doppler? we started using one and found the heartbeat around ten weeks - so awesome to have our little magical peek inside at the end of the day.

  4. Everyone looks very differently during pregnancy - it's amazing! I think I started showing around 12 weeks, but it wasn't until a little later that it became obvious that I was pregnant, not just fatter. And I definitely lost some weight in the first trimester from being sick! Have you heard of the book, "When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets, or Quads, Revised Edition: Proven Guidelines for a Healthy Multiple Pregnancy" by Barbara Luke? My friend followed its diet and weight gain suggestions and had 2 twins at 38 pounds, over 7 pounds each!

  11. I still looked months away as I was delivering (a healthy, lovely little girl!) - don't worry. You'll show soon enough and wish that your abs were still in place ;) Congratulations and good luck!
